INSPIRE Awards-MANAK

INSPIRE Awards-MANAK is a flagship program of Govt. of India Department of Science and Technology (DST) and National Innovation Foundation (NIF) to promote Technological and Innovative ideas for the students of class 6th to 10th and age group of 10 – 15 years. Nominations are invited from all the schools of country. Students are selected at district and state level and a monetary benefit of Rs. 10,000 is given to the selected students to make project on their idea. State Level Exhibition and Project Competition (SLEPC) is organized to select students for NLEPC. Mentorship workshops are also organized for the students selected for National Level Exhibition and Project Competition (NLEPC) for the refinement of ideas and development of prototype models. Selected students will participate in the NLEPC.

Activities 2022-23

9th National Level Exhibition and Project Competition (NLEPC)

Five students from Chandigarh participated in the 9th National Level Exhibition and Project Competition (NLEPC) at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi on 14th and 15th September 2022. Three students (one from Government School and two from Private Schools) were able to make their place in the top 60 at National Level. These students were awarded with trophies and certificates by Dr. Jitender Singh, Hon’ble Union Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Science and Technology and Earth Sciences at Plenary Hall, Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on 16.09.2022

Building Artificial Intelligence Readiness among Young Innovators 2022

Building AI Readiness among Young Innovators is collaborative initiative of INSPIRE-MANAK, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India and Intel India. Six students from Chandigarh were declared as winners in the Top 50 at National level. They showcased their projects at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi on 14th and 15th September 2022. These students were awarded with medals and certificates by Ms. Namita Gupta, Head INSPIRE-MANAK at Plenary Hall, Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on 16.09.2022.

 10th State Level Exhibition and Project Competition (SLEPC)

The 10th State Level Exhibition and Project Competition (SLEPC) was organized by SCERT UT Chandigarh on 27th and 28th March 2023 at SCERT campus. In this Competition, 41 students from 31 schools of UT Chandigarh displayed their exhibits/projects. Projects of five students were selected for NLEPC. These are: Mannat Bhargava (Kundan International School, Sector-46, Chandigarh) Saloni (Government High School Dadumajra), Taranpreet Singh (Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sr. Sec. School, Sector-35 B, Chandigarh), Shivam Yadav (Government High School, Daria), Dhanvi Singla (Gurukul Global School IT Park Chandigarh). These students will participate in the 10th National Level Exhibition and Project Competition to be held at New Delhi.
